Don't stand in fires is a term used in gaming. In a general sense, it means to have situational awareness and understand your role in terms of the community. Awareness can be difficult at times, especially in a world where multi-tasking seems to be the norm.

I want everyone to bring their posters to class tomorrow, it would be a laugh-riot, and raise issues about Henry Jenkin's media transparency issue and ethical issue (doh!)
